Dear Joan & Mark
I am not the best with words, but wanted to let you know I am thinking about you and Eric and he will not be forgotten.You have turned pain and tragedy into an opportunity to help others and this is what God expects of us. We can not understand how God is, why tragedy is allowed , and how God works. But I am sure Eric is now with God in a good place and after your good works on earth you will be with him forever.

Dearest Eric,
I carry you with me in my heart as I embark in an endeavor to seek government, corporate, and individual solutions to provide awareness to parents and caregivers throughout the nation of the hazards of food asphyxiation. Although your life was short, you have and will continue to have a profound affect on many people including myself. I believe we enter this lifetime not only to learn but to teach. Thank you for teaching me so that I may teach others.
I give honor to your spirit as you are no less a warrior than those who have given their life on many a battlefield.
I hope you hear my words as I speak to you in my prayers at night and often throughout the day. Somehow, I know you do.
